This was one of the coolest things I've done. I used contacts to get myself a press pass to see Sen. Barack Obama announce his intention to run for President in the upcoming election. The official announcement was the day before in Springfield, then the crew came into the city to a huge audience, a packed UIC Pavillion. First I was sent to the print media bleachers for a good distance view of the action. I managed to talk my way up to the very front area, usually reserved for only the top media outlets. After a few minutes I got booted back but I got my pictures!!
