Event at Soldier Field

Getting to cover fabulous affairs in unique spaces in the city is one of the best things about being a photographer. Access to the United Club in Soldier Field definitely qualifies. Shooting people enjoying themselves as the sun sets over the field, the stadium of empty seats in the background, has it's own undeniable appeal. Now this crowd certainly likes to have fun and they tore it up on the dance floor. An overall terrific event.

Pockross Family-Rained In

The shoot was supposed to be outside on a beautiful day, but you can only prepare so much for Mother Nature. Luckily I always have my travel lighting kit with me and set up some beautiful light in their family room. After getting the list of group portraits out of the way I got to have some fun with all the kids as they played around, with their toys, with each other, and with me. Of course many kids only have limited patience in front of the camera, so sometimes you have to improvise, just to get the shot, even if it means walking to the beat of a very different drummer ;). Enjoy!!

Klein-Butman Family

An old friend from my high school days invited me to come to her house in the suburbs to capture the life and energy of her family. With four boys under the age of 13 I had my work cut out for me, but they had such wonderful personalities, and we had a ton of fun. Instead of saying "Cheese" we chose "Cheeseburger" which prompted all four of them to sing their version of the the Buffett classic, "Cheeseburger in Paradise." Shooting families like this one make it feel like I get paid to play!!! Enjoy.
