Obama Rally in Grant Park

November 4, 2008 was one of the most magical nights in Chicago history, or at least in my history living in this incredibly underrated metropolitan. 100,000 people in Grant Park and we looked terrific. The energy was palpable and contagious as we all awaited the decision of this historic election. People of every age, every race, every color, came out to be together in support of the strongest democratic candidate in ages. However, the Bush factor, was still affecting a lot of people who were visibly scarred to cheer too hard since the announced winner could change like it did 8 years ago when the decline of this great country began. And like many of the faces I came in contact with, my eyes were also filled with tears that our land had finally been returned to its rightful owners, the people who live and vote here. Enjoy!!!
