Welcome Baby Milo

My friend Laura and her husband Joe gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Milo at the end of December. In February Craig and I made it over to their place to play with Milo and take pictures of him with his new Daddy & Mommy. Craig was a little bit of a Milo hog, had to wrestle the baby away, it got ugly but luckily no one was hurt.

Carol's Bat Mitzvah

During this particularly harsh Chicago winter I was commissioned to shoot a very special event. A woman I knew through shooting birthday parties asked me to cover the momentous occasion of her mother getting Bat-Mitzvah'd, a coming of age that boys and girls participate in at the age of 13, that Carol was participating in as a grandma. After the service there was dinner at a local restaurant and then brunch at her daughter's house the next day. During the dinner Carol made a game for her guests, a crossword puzzle where the answers were "All About Carol". Among the attendees were Carol's girlfriend, University of Michigan Alumns who couldn't help themselves but strike up a rousing round of Hail to the Victors! My kind of people.
